Pt-Supported CNT for Fuel Cell
Pt nano-particles supported on carbon black have been used as electrode material of solid polymer fuel cells. However, instead carbon black, CNTs are going to be used as Pt-supporting materials. In this case, conductivity and durability will be improved.
We prepare Pt-supporting CNTs with our original process. The size of our prepared Pt nano particles is not enough small compared to commercial Pt/carbon-black materials, but our Pt-supporting N-doped CNT (Nitrogen-doped CNT) will show much more good catalytic performance, because N-CNT itself (without supporting any Pt) shows catalytic performance (please see N-doped CNT page).
